Out of the blue, my co-vacationers decided they wanted a hiking trip to Switzerland. So I got another thing ticked off the life bucket list early!
This was the view from the restaurant at the top of the trail, at 2,700 metres up.
Good beer, good view.
We also happened to be lucky to get entertained by a helicopter show, as supplies were being delivered to each rest stop.
And Switzerland was exactly as I envisioned it - perfect, neat and absolutely gorgeous. The road leading into Switzerland from the Italian border was also magnificent, the driver of the 400i I saw must've been having a good time.

This is exactly what I want to be doing right now...

No photo of the 400i? My parents visit there quite often and thay have spotted some interesting cars too.
Have you seen any first generation 4x4 Pandas? I heard they are pretty popular in the small towns located in high areas.

I've got it on my camera, not on my phone which is what I'm posting from. There have been a lot of first-gen Pandas everywhere, in Italy and Switzerland. Not as many 4x4s though.

Thank you for sharing, those are some gorgeous pictures! It looks absolutely stunning! It also reminds me quite a bit of my trip to Grenoble, France, which happens to be only a few km. from the Swiss border, so not really surprising.
The beer picture is making me salivate at my desk, I can’t wait to get off work and go home and have a beer now. I’ve heard the Swiss are quite the brewers, every bit as good as the Germans or Belgians. I’ll have to look for some Swiss beer next time I’m at Total Wine which, despite the name, has an amazing beer selection.
The only other thing I really know about Switzerland is in regards to the Schmidt-Rubin rifles their military (i.e. everyone in the country) used from the late 1800’s through the 1950’s. I have a few of them and they are fantastic. They were incredibly advanced for their time and built with all the same precision of a Swiss watch.
